Overview:
We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Manager - Cloud/HPC to deploy Pasqal software in the cloud and in HPC centers. You will guide technical decisions, implement infrastructure best practices, and manage engineers across DevOps, networking, security, and automation disciplines.
In this context, your main missions will be :
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps and System Administration engineers.
- Design and implement secure and resilient cloud infrastructure across GCP (80%) and OVH (20%).
- Connect our Quantum Processing Units (hardware) to users through Pasqal cloud platform and Pasqal HPC software stack.
- Maintain the internal HPC cluster up and running for researchers.
- Define and reinforce infrastructure architecture standards, including networking, identity management, cost optimization, security, and observability.
- Support application teams regarding CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment provisioning.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response.
- Drive cloud governance, compliance, and budget efficiency.
- Collaborate with other managers in the department to align technical decisions with business goals.
Key competencies:
Hard-skills
- People management experience: ability to drive a team of diverse engineers.
- Good knowledge of cloud providers, GCP is ppreciated.
- Proficiency in IaC (Terraform) and automation tooling (Ansible and/or xcat)
- Strong understanding of network architecture (VPCs, VPNs, Load Balancers, DNS, Firewall Policies).
- Experience with Linux administration, containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes) .
- Familiarity with IAM, security policies, encryption, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, NCA-CCC/ECC).
- Practical experience with CI/CD tools, gitlab-ci is a plus.
Soft skills

- Outstanding communication skills.
Profile:
- Around 6y+ experience as an Infrastructure engineer.
- Ideally 2y+ experience as a people manager (including project management)
- Interested in working in a hardware company where cloud and HPC infrastructure serves quantum hardware, software and research.
- 2y+ in a scientific environment including HPC.
- Good basics of software engineering.
- Exposure to slurm scheduling system and HPC infrastructure.
