Job Description
We are building in Korea a team of quantum enthusiasts dedicated to promoting Pasqal technology and educating the Asia Pacific markets, with a focus on Korea, on the power of neutral atom quantum computing.
As a Technical Business Developer, you will educate existing and potential customers on Pasqal’s unique portfolio of products and services. You will be our technical translator, interfacing with customers from many relevant industry verticals. You will help to grow our commercial reach into the Asia Pacific markets, with a focus on Korea, and build new revenue streams. As part of our global commercial team, you will be contributing to Pasqal’s mission of unlocking the potential of quantum computing which will enable end-users to accelerate their most innovative and strategic applications.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our global Product and R&D teams, based mainly in Europe, to build a deep understanding of our products and services.
- Communicate Pasqal’s unique value to both technical and non-technical audiences creating awareness for, and interest in, our technology, products and services.
- Analyze the market and prospect for new potential customers in relevant industry verticals in Asia Pacific, with a focus on Korea.
- Use your excellent communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until the deal is closed.
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the global commercial team to convert market interest into more concrete commercial leads / customers.
- Provide after-sales project management service and collaborate with Product and R&D teams to ensure timely progress and successful completion of customers’ projects.
- Participate in relevant conferences in Asia Pacific, with a focus on Korea, to meet target customers and lead Pasqal’s booth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and update marketing materials for the Korean and Asia Pacific markets.
- Report to the Senior Business Development Manager on (monthly / quarterly) sales results.
- Stay up to date with new products/services and new pricing / payment plans.
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction.

About you
Required experience and skills:
- Master’s or PhD degree (physics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, machine learning, etc.).
- Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Korean and English, perfect professional command, written and oral.
- Ability to travel, mainly in Korea, indicatively 10-20% of the time.
- Team spirit, ambitious, organized, pro-active, creative, self-driven.
- 3+ years of work experience (private sector) in technical sales/business development.
- Solid knowledge of the basic principles of quantum physics and quantum computing
- External customer facing experience including executive level and C-Suite.
- Demonstrated track record writing winning proposals for academic research grants and/or government funded projects
- Experience in industry and market analysis.
